ABOUT
Despite substantial efforts by the public and private sectors and increasing investments in technology, the United States is not on track to meet its commitments under the Paris Climate Agreement. What policies, private actions, and leadership are needed to drive further reductions in U.S. greenhouse gas emissions?
On June 10th - 11th, the Harvard Climate Symposium will engage specifically with this question. Experts from academia, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and civil society will discuss what steps are politically viable, economically desirable, able to scale widely, and durable for the short-, medium-, and long-term.
From June 12th - 14th, additional sessions will dive deeper into solutions-oriented research. Most of these sessions will be held online, allowing practitioners from around the world to engage.
Twenty-four Harvard schools, centers, and institutes will host sessions during this exciting week addressing topics around six key themes. We invite you to learn from, and connect with, climate leaders whose ideas and actions are critical in solving this solving the climate crisis and ensuring a more equitable, resilient, and sustainable collective future.
