GEM23 CONFERENCE: GROWING IN A GREEN WORLD

The Global Empowerment Meeting (GEM) – the Center for International Development (CID) at Harvard University’s flagship event – brings together leaders, thinkers, and doers from development, government, business, and philanthropy. GEM identifies the major issues and ideas that could potentially revolutionize development paradigms. GEM 2023 "Growing in a Green World" (GEM23) will explore different dimensions of climate change, with a particular lens on both challenges and opportunities emerging from developing countries. The overarching emphasis will be on action so that we have pathways to pursue evidence-driven solutions together. For the first time, GEM23 will launch a Climate Incubation Fund providing targeted support and seed funding to catalyze new collaborations between researchers and practitioners on climate change. CID is co-hosting GEM23 with Harvard’s Salata Institute for Climate and Sustainability.
